Welcome to my infertility blog

headshot 600

Hi, my name is Betsy Herman.

Have you been trying to conceive for longer than expected? Do you read an infertility blog for tips to get pregnant?

My story is one of delayed dreams and hope found.
I read infertility books about the best ways to get pregnant, tried the best fertility foods, learned about fertility signs as well as signs of infertility and googled tips on how to get pregnant faster. Women trying to get pregnant often think about how to have a baby or how to get pregnant.

Hopes rise with infertility treatments, eating the best fertility foods or reading tips to get pregnant on an infertility blog. Causes of infertility in women are often unknown, but I can say for sure that God is still good and that He is for me.

In my years of trying to get pregnant I’ve gained hope. And that's a story worth sharing.

This book describes the emotions of trying to conceive, long waits, and crushed dreams. I share of the people who have come alongside me and encouraged me, and I tell of my God who has spoken hope to me.

If you want to understand someone facing infertility...

Or if you are struggling for a breakthrough of any sort...

Or if you’re trying to get pregnant...

Read about my journey of having hope when a situation looks hopeless. I share my personal journey through this book and hope that it will encourage you.

I found my pain begin to subside and peace gradually return to my heart as I read your words and God’s words.

Thank you so much for writing this book, for being obedient to God, for being so open, for walking in faith AND thank you, thank you, thank you for not waiting until your happy ending to finish and publish the book. I am 33 and have been trying to conceive for 4.5 years now, I have "unexplained infertility."

I was desperate and browsing Amazon for some help when I came across your book. I downloaded the book at the weekend and have finished it in two sittings, about half of it has been highlighted and I know I will be going back and back to it. I found my pain begin to subside and peace gradually return to my heart as I read your words and God’s words.

This journey is a hard one, that's for sure but it's help on that journey I need, someone who is also on that journey, not already at the destination yelling back to me about how it is. (Hope that makes sense!) So with all my heart, thank you for making me feel just that little less lonely on this journey.

This is so relatable

I feel like I'm reading my own story… Likely all women struggling with infertility, & I think especially unexplained infertility, will recognize themselves in your words, will find hope and will find comfort.

So encouraging

There is power in describing the hope that you have in this hard place without seeing the promise fulfilled…Thank you for sharing your journey because it is so encouraging to me.

So inspiring!

I’m a Christian, and in 2009 I was engaged, and my doctor told me it would be extremely hard for me to get pregnant. I got married, and we are going to celebrate our 10th anniversary in October.

I love kids and I always wanted to be a mom and through all those years I’ve always avoided this subject. I thought it was easier this way. Until last year, I was 34 years old, and decided I couldn’t run away from it anymore.
I was looking for fertility treatments, and before I did anything I prayed to God to show me the way. And He clearly said to me: Don’t do anything, just wait. He hadn’t promised me a baby, but I knew that I should keep waiting.

At that time I started a Bible Study in my church, I was sharing my struggles in waiting and not having control, but I didn’t share what was the subject. The next person that started talking was a woman who shared your story, I couldn’t help myself but started crying desperately, I could feel God using your story through her at that moment. She recommended me your book, and I read all the pages with tears in my eyes, I could relate to you in so many situations.

Today I’m 20 weeks (naturally) pregnant with a baby boy. God is faithful and His love amazes me every day.

Thanks for sharing your story, it was so inspiring to me.

This book helps in having faith

The Lord has given you an extraordinary gift of faith. Not only do you continue to believe for yourself, but you encourage others who are struggling with the same thing. [...] This book is just one more example and testimony of faith, and I believe that God will use your obedience to minister to so many hurting women.
