Infertility Blogs that Encourage Me
Even though I’m relatively new to the world of infertility blogs, in the past year I’ve been reading them more and more. Let me tell you about my favorites!
Waiting for Baby Bird – waitingforbabybird.com/
I distinctly remember the first time I discovered this blog. Elisha (the chick awaiting her baby bird) was featured on another blog, and as Mike was driving us to his parents’ house on Christmas Eve, I was scrolling through social media. I read my first post by Elisha and LOVED it. She is an encourager, a hope-speaker, and an excellent blogger. In August, when Mike and I road-tripped from Washington DC to Chicago and everywhere in between, we managed to meet up with Elisha in a town not too far from her home. Upon meeting her face-to-face, I confirmed that she is genuine, she is passionate, and her heart and mind are packed with God’s Word and His wisdom. Like me, she is trusting God to bring her miracle baby, and I’m regularly asking Him to say “Yes” to her. If you live in the Southern Illinois region, you might want to attend her support group called the Nest. And one of the most inspiring things she does is celebrating Josiah Day, which you can read about here.
In Due Time – in-due-time.com/
I’m pretty sure I discovered Caroline at In Due Time through the abovementioned Baby Bird. This girl is a powerhouse of energy! She swims and runs and works full time and attends baby showers and she still manages to blog on a very consistent basis! She also facilitates an infertility support group called Moms in the Making. Since Caroline lives in Texas and I haven’t been there in decades, we have not met in person (yet). However, her blog and social media posts have encouraged me over and over again. She is also trusting God for a miracle baby.
Amateur Nester – www.amateurnester.com/
Lisa is the lady behind this blog, and I’ve also enjoyed reading her posts and connecting with her via the internet. She regularly shares encouraging stories from those who have overcome infertility. Lisa’s prayers have been answered with a baby, and I appreciate the caring way she continues to speak hope to those of us in the wait.
A couple more infertility blogs that are new to me and worth your visit are:
Meredith at itspositiveliving.com/
Melissa at nothingtosay-mnm.blogspot.com/
Natasha at natashametzler.com/category/infertility/.
I encourage you to stop by each of these blogs and read their posts – especially if you are struggling in your own wait for a baby.
Although none of us would have ever chosen to experience infertility, each of us has found hope in God during our struggles and we’ve chosen to share about it publicly in order to help others going through similar circumstances.
I am so grateful for God, who “comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.” (2 Corinthians 1:4 NLT) If God is going to encourage me as I walk through this valley called infertility, I am going to encourage others who are there as well. We’re all in this together- and reading these blogs and connecting with these ladies reminds me that we are not alone.
